Radwanska first into round 3, Li overcomes Govortsova
Agnieszka Radwanska continued her 2013 unbeaten streak, extending it to 11 matches, with a comfortable 6-3 6-3 second round victory over Romania's Irina Camelia Begu at the Australian Open. 5th seed Angelique Kerber also advanced to the third round when she managed to overcome Lucie Hradecka 6-3 6-1. Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium won her second round match earlier, with only dropping a game against 23rd seed Klara Zakapolova. Former French Open champion Li Na met Olga Govortosva in the second round of 2013 Australian Open where Li won in straight sets. Li took the first set 6-2 but it was a different story in the second set. Govortsova had set points at 5-3 but couldn't convert them. Li took the opportunity and stormed past in the Belorussian in next four games to clinch the match. Meanwhile 15th seed Dominica Cibulkova lost to Russian qualifier Valeria Savinykh in straight sets 7-6,6-4. Julia Goerges, 18th seed, beat Romina Oprandi to place in round 3 where she meets the winner of the second round clash between Sam Stosur and Zheng Jie.
