World no. 1 Serena Williams and world no. 8 Jelena Jankovic kept moving towards their third title in Rome, as they reached the semifinals of the Internazionali BNL d'Italia. The defending champion Williams won 6-1, 6-3 in straight sets meanwhile Jankovic defeated number 3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4,6-4.
